Attorney General Eric Holder recently said that we’ll be reading Miranda Rights to the corpse of Osama bin Laden, saying that the likelihood of bin Laden being captured alive is “infinitesimal.” When asked in Congress whether he would put Osama on trial, he responded that the reality of the situation was that there will never be a trial because bin Laden will have already been killed.
I agree with Mr. Holder in the fact that he will not be taken alive, I believe that either we will kill him in …

From the standpoint of an independant voter-a discussion of the electability of the possible candidates-not meant to insult the candidates, they are all great Americans.
Newt Gingrich-
First of all, this man will probably never be elected just for the simple fact that his name is the same as that of a swamp dwelling amphibian. Secondly the only issue his opponent will have to bring up is the fact that he is a hypocrite. He slammed President Clinton for having an extra-marital affair, then it turns out that Newt himself was …

At the recent Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC, Ron Paul won the straw poll for republican presidential candidate in 2012. The choice of CPAC poll respondents certainty reflects the increased emphasis on fiscal responsibility and limited government in among conservatives and republicans.
This renewed emphasis about these issues is great to see. However, is Ron Paul the best choice for the republican nomination in 2012? One big red flag that probably a lot of people missed when voting for Paul in the straw poll was his age. He was born …

Glenn Beck, a self-educated and self-made man, spoke at CPAC this past weekend, even bringing along his famous chalkboard. The crowd could hardly stop cheering long enough for him to speak. With the crowd erupting into a standing ovations at almost every other phrase, Beck spoke with zeal about America, specifically the meaning statue of liberty, and liberty in America.
He also spoke of the progressive movement, now disguised as liberals, that was the beginning of the downfall of our country, starting with Theodore Roosevelt. Beck spoke of his advice …

Typically stories involving politicians involve either the circus that is Washington or some sex scandal. Today (2/15/2010) is one exception. Senator Bayh (D-In) announced that he would not be running for re-election. Why is this so impressive? It’s not that he is quitting; it’s why.
This man isn’t throwing in the towel because he is afraid of tarnishing his reputation by losing the upcoming election. In fact he was ahead in polls by 20 points and had ample funds for his campaign. He is leaving Washington because he sees …

Today I received a forward in my email describing the benefits immigrants receive in America. Did you know that if an immigrant is over 65, he can receive a social security monthly payment of $2,470 from the government, but a woman who has paid taxes in America for fifty years can only receive $1,012 maximum? This got me thinking about how accepting the American public is about redistribution of wealth in general.
Although I view redistribution of wealth as an economic issue and usually put my faith in prudence when …

Thursday February 18 through Saturday February 20, the 37th annual Conservative Political Action Conference will be taking place in Washington DC.
This is one of the largest gatherings of conservatives from all over the United States. It is a unique opportunity to meet like minded individuals from across the nation. Every CPAC hosts a variety of conservatives from radio hosts to journalists to novelists to activists and to holders of political office.
These CPAC participants make speeches, participate in debates and forums and even attend receptions and book signings for …

In my recent experiences in my college classes, I have been hit hard with liberal professors disguising themselves as “fair” and “bi-partisan”.
In one recent political science class at a student’s mention of death panels and Obama-care, my teacher screamed, “let me make one thing perfectly clear, there are NO F***ING DEATH PANELS.” He went on to explain that he was sick of all the lies being told about the wonder-that-is Obama-care
In another class, I brought up the very interesting response of Massachusetts to the recent doings of the government …

The Anti-Defamation League recently issued a report warning of increased “anti-government hostility” in response to the policy initiatives of the Obama White House and Democrat controlled Congress. The report claims this hostility manifests itself in forms “ranging incivility in public forums to acts of intimidation and violence” – listing “Tea Party” protests and town-hall demonstrations as examples of extremist activity. The participants of such demonstrations are characterized as dangerous conspiracy theorists with ties to the militia-movement. The ADL ignores the fact that the so called extremists who attend …

The American Catholic Bishops have been under fire for their active role in fighting against the Obama “Health Scare” plan. In particular they have fought against any funding for abortion and euthanasia. They stand united in desiring a health care plan that upholds the dignity of every human life. In essence they are practicing what they preach and it is working.
However, after this generation of Bishops reaches their ripe old age of 75 and they look to retire, who is going to replace them? Yes there has been …
